We are set in 2010 off the coast of San Francisco Bay, California. The first three episodes will be on Earth, but I plan for Atlantis to return to the Pegasus galaxy in mid-episode three.

Seth Cade had been a name that he had not heard in years, and it had been out of the blue that Mike had found himself being called in from his own command to take over the command of Atlantis Recon team one. The sun dipped toward the stormy horizon, casting a stark orange‑red glow across the clouded sky. The Halifax‑class frigate HMCS Esquimalt glided through the stormy waters of the northern Pacific. Sea spray pelted her salt‑encrusted hull as she crashed through the whitecaps. Rain sprayed throughout the waters.
On the bow, one man stood against the wind, checking his watch. His hand gripped the railing, the cold metal numbing his fingers. He studied the tactical black‑gray timepiece, its blue bezel framing the sapphire crystal.
